Have any of u went thru the police academy that are claiming 1 shot is all thats needed? U are trained to shoot 3 round bursts. Id pay to see any of u hit a running or lunging object with a quick draw one shot.

And also, have any of u ever shot anything? The dog was dying, didnt need another shot, wasnt suffering. For gods sakes, go hunt bears, wait till u hear the death moan.

The owner killed his dog, no one else.

I was being a smarta.. I really dont care, like I said before who hunts or eats meat that is pissed about this? Those animals die to so whatever. This dog ownet is just like parents today, dont control there kidd and in this guys case his dog. Also I really dont like a lot of cops so I try to avoid them instead of filming them, o yeah but somebody said earlier thats not illegal, that attitude is whats wrong in america, with freedom comes personal responsibility.

Tasers are the wrong weapon to use on small animals. Target is too small, skin/fur is too tough.

At close range, even a pistol isn't that good. If you're a stud, try jackrabbit hunting with a pistol. I've seen people miss a jack at 10 feet with a shotgun.

Gotta give the officer credit for talent. The average distance for a pistol battle between humans is 7 feet and the hit ratio is only 50%. It's not as easy as looks.

Try this: Grab a pistol, close your eyes. Have friend set up 10 two liter bottles 5 feet away.
Then they pull off the blindfold and fire as fast as you can. Bet you don't hit 5.

Pepper spray has a wider pattern than even a shotgun at point blank.

To be honest, a pistol is crappy weapon. I'm a pretty good shot, but a dog at point blank? Tough. A feral dog was in our yard attacking the horses. I fired 7 times with a .357 and didn't score a hit as far as I knew. I might have hit it (I think I got it twice), but it got under the fence and was gone.

Sucky way for that situation to go down. I enjoy animals, but that is what they are, animals. Unfortunately certain dog breeds have bad reputations and most people are unwilling to risk finding out what will happen if you let a situation like that escalate. Cops have jobs to do, this country should do a better job of standing behind them than criticizing them. Their jobs are by no means easy and you could not pay me enough to do it.

I learned how to shoot with a 22 , shooting bottle tops with open sights 50 ft away, its tough. You think it would be easy but its not. I had a 500 s and w with a 8 3/4 barrell, first shot was dead on but the recoil is so bad you cant follow up fast with a second shot, if you need one
My wifes walther 22 can shoot all 10 without a flinch, but no real knockdown power.

I dont feel bad for the dog or owner. All the dumbazz had to do was drive off and leave. Or at least roll up his windows, its nothing new that cops shoot a dog that is acting aggressive toward them. It is what it is, but it could of all been avoided had the owner not been a dumbazz. He has a "pending" lawsuit with the PD, is this surprising that hes ****ing with them? Its all his own fault.
