Our F450 6.ohno bit the big one, so I got a rental '13 F350 w/flatbed. It was a nice truck. Work model power window, locks, mirrors other then that it was stripped down. I was a little pissed it didn't have cruise, or so I thought. After my 11hr trip today I found out what I though was a dome/dash light control was the cruise. Seats where nice and it rode decent. I was pulling our gooseneck grossing ~22K and the truck seemed gutless. I think our '12 cummins pull better. The mileage SUCKED 7.3 MPG I had a walkbehind concrete saw, concrete forms, and a babcat on the trailer. Thats some unloaded/picking um material and the rest loaded 70mph hwy driving. The truck only has 3K on it when I parked it today so maybe it will get better. I hate the new blinker controls though. There is no detent and I'm use to driving big rigs, so I was constantly flipping it back and forth and turning in on then right back off thinking it wasn't working. I was happy to see it had a gas cap though.

I'll have to ask for a LML for my next rental since we are a dodge company I have my fill of them. I hear the new trucks we have coming are gassers though.

Thought about that. Another thing was we though we blew a fuse when our trailer shorted out. I feel for the guys that work on these trucks. Even checking fuses is a PITA and I'm not a big guy.

man, I was really impressed with the stock 6.7 ford F250 that towed my 10-11k toy hauler on a hunting trip. Pulled hills effortlessly with solid low end torque. Loved it! I don't recall checking fuel mileage.

You get your trans fixed?

Maybe the truck was turned down a bit it couldn't maintain speed going over the ship channel bridge.

Not yet getting I'm getting towed there today or tomorrow for Chris to start on it next week. I'm in Lake Charles working for possibly the next 6 months, so might not even get to drive it hardly.

Now thats wrong...

Just leave me some beer in the fridge. Sancho doesn't sometimes and its starting to piss me off.

We had to get the rental back to town so they brought me out one of our '11 F250s and took in the rental and gooseneck. Guess what. The cruise was broken on it, or I just don't know the trick to get it to work. Its been a long time since I had to drive something for any amount of time that didn't have cruise and it sucks.

Ok I'm done whining about cruise control for now.
