Got the itch think it's time for something new!

Maybe who knows. Need to think replacement truck first. Can't decide to go new or second owner. Not diesel for now ,I know dirty word here but to coin the phrase been there done that. Plus the new diesels with all the pollution garbage ,plus the fact I don't need the torque for towing ,plus the price of diesel not only fuel but to spend nearly 10k on that purchase item says no way sorry! Kick me to the curb if you must but time for a change! 
I'll give you three words to think about concerning the EcoBoost engine and its design...Oldsmobile Quad 4. Its not flattering either.
They are pushing that V6 to its max to get the mileage and power they do. Id give it a few years to see what reliability and longevity are going to be, and for Ford to work out the bugs first.

The ecoboost isn't all that ford makes it out to be. I have around 32000 on mine. Fuel mileage sucks. I can get better mileage out of our 4x4 suburban. I have tried every kind of gas and with all of it I am doing good to average 15 mpg. Hook it up to just a 4 wheeler trailer with a Polaris ranger on it and mileage drops to around 7 mpg. I love the interior of it but the rest of it I could do without.

People said that about the Duramax when they were new. I don't believe they are pushing the Ecoboost to the max, not even close. Plus, Turbo V-6's have been around for a long time and they are still impressive(Buick).
Yes they did but about the wrong thing. Then it was ford who ended up with head issues. The LB7 had issues ,well some,with injectors as your aware.
Those Buick 231 V6s werent all that impressive until about 1986 when they finally redesigned the front cover/oil pump. Pump would wear against cover, oil pressure would drop and engine would fail. I helped with too many V6 to V8 conversions back then, and Olds radiators and fan shrouds were worth good money if you had them.
I dont doubt the EcoBoost will end up working. But Id give Ford some time to work out any bugs first.

no maybe a partime hauler for toys but mainly looking for another farm truck.
