assuming it was 28* on a 2300us at 3250, that is a pretty decent amount of timing for that little shot.

I know what your saying, but the other side of that argument is, no matter how long the pulse is after tdc, the same amount of fuel is injected before tdc..... So if 28* is ok with a 3000 pulse, why not 2300?

true but the flame front is shorter to live than at 3000, plus the reason we HAVE to use 28* at 2800uS and up is due to how long the fuel duration is. less timing drops power out as the spray of fuell continues too far into the down stroke. like mark had shown that a shorter pulse and less timing from larger injectors can net more power and less cyl pressure. So i see it as adding more cyl pressure for diminished returns.

i wasnt saying it cant be done/ran but more of the fact that his tune wasnt any safer than a larger uS tune if that makes sense. :D

Keep in mind more fuel will cool cylinder temps some, and push peak cyl. pressure back some. I would run the same timing value with 2300us as i do 3000us.

TX of course
Why? There is a substantial difference between a 2300us and a 3000us tune. Unless your really conservative on your timing on a 3000us tune.
