I wonder if your knock is outside air temp related?

There's a thread in here somewhere where I was noticing a similiar knock in mine last winter. Seemed to only do it with air temps under 30. I checked balance rates, posted a log of it doing it, nothing...
Changed from stock, to banks, to efi, still there, knock knock knock.

Pulled inside a heated garage to dyno the truck, and no knock. Spring came, no knock.

We'll see what it does in a couple months

Fwiw. I just checked my milage too. Drove from home to Goshen IN to Terre Haute and back home. Roughly 625 miles. 150 ish on 2 lane roads the rest interstate at or above posted limits. 24.6 for the trip. :)

hmmm...note to self: DONT lower pilot pulse, quantity and multiplier tables 10%. Makes for a noisy, smokey, no power drive. Maybe lower one table...but not all three. :rofl:
