Got a new little honey at work today

Truck showed up today with a big box wrapped like a present:

And moved it in....pllleeeeenty of room :

To answer the "what is it" question, it's a Mori Seiki NTX2000SZM mill/turn center.

This isn't a big job for the rigging company, but next time I have to move a friggen couch through a door that is too narrow I want to call them. Plus they bring lots of neat fork trucks and hoists to bring out the little kid in anybody. I wouldn't want the riggers job ever. I'd probably stroke out by the second day

and I have a 1954 Bridgeport and 1929 Hendey 14" lathe, I just figured Id throw that out there to one-up you all.

Might even get a cheap crappy chinese DRO for the bridgeport too, then Id really be cookin' with gas!!!

Dang that thing is cherry! If it weren't for the fact you said new to us, and it having the older control (which has a better keypad, in my opinion) that would pass off as new in those pictures.

It was already here last month, I went to look at it in Chicago in early may.

You going to imts? I should be there. Had to use mazak to beat Mori up a little, price was pretty steep with them at first. Glad we ended up with the Mori.

Ya it is like 2-3 years old the shop that had it went under last year and it was never used much.

It is a twin magazine setup. I don't remember the number but something like 180 tools lol so it will be nice once it is up and running 100%.

We have a few lathes too from mori-seiki and love them.

You will love the machine well worth the money.
