yea i hear ya, believe me i appreciate it.

nope just relocated it to the block that comes w/ the PPE kit. they give you a racevalve looking thing that has threads on it, then the new fuel line goes into that. then the shimmed valve goes into the distribution block...... if that makes any sense, idk i'm only on 2hrs of sleep :(

i hope the tech II does something.

yea i got ya. i have ppes kit on my LMM

Can you get a long 3/8 extension or something similar and tap the regulator on the factory CP3 while it runs to see if it drops at all (ie if the reg is bad and the plunger is stuck). We did this on an LB7 and the rail pressure at idle came down and then it would not come back up. We also pulled the plug on it to see if it would go wide open. Turns out a modded regulator he put on was bad.

I don't think it is bad since it is on an LMM and fairly new, just don't ever rule out a simple test.

did it already, i think it dropped like a few hundred but that was it. the truck has 6k miles on it. now if the reg was bad would that cause that hard code? god damn i don't wanna have to change that thing.

I'm having a hard time seeing it as a wiring issue since it should be defaulting to 26k if there were a short to the original CP3 right?? Did you pull the plug on the back of it to see if it goes wide open (I know - eaiser said than done)?

hell, i'm a pro at getting that thing on and off now. i didn't try that though. didn't know you could run it w/ the wire off.

i have no clue what it should default to.

any idea why it would throw the code then as soon as the key turns on?

yes, if the signal is cut to it, it will go wide open.

Hopefully some others will chime in here too and help out. Jut throwing ideas that we tried when we fought numerous fuel related issues on our puller this past summer.

It should go wide open. if not, the regulator could be bad.

OK so YOU put it back to stock completley meaning stock tune one cp3 and hooked up just like factory and it still is giving You the issue ? There is a actual factory option for a intank lift pump availble i ran across it the other day but your truck doesnt have one so dont worry about tht.

well i set it back to stock but didn't start it, i just did it to see if the code would go away. and yea the stock pump is plugged into the stock harness.

last night i unplugged the sensor and it stayed at the same psi, it didn't default to 27k. any ideas.

If you unplugged it and the rail press didn't change, I'd say change the regulator. It should max out the rail when you unplug it.

put it all back to stock start it and see what happens. some times it takes key cycles and run time to clear codes i would try tht and see wht happens if tht doesnt fix it when its completley back to stock then more then likely your reg

i still think its the regulator too.

The regulator could have 2 probloms
1 the spring or bbl is damaged or burred OR the electronic end is damaged

im geussing the bbl is stuck closed and if your carefull you can pull it apart

if you want to try that Kyle there is instructions around that I can send you a link to

sweetd, that would be cool. [email protected]

got it all apart this weekend and both regs were clogged up, the stock one and the one from the dual kit. we cleaned them out but need some o rings for the lower intake elbow, dealer is out though we'll have to wait till tomorrow.
