What is everyone seeing for total boost on the 72/483 set up? I am going to need to buy a bigger boost gauge (only goes to 60psi now don't think that will cut it) and do you think it's worth while to have a drive pressure gauge?

Boost is just a measurement of restriction, so don't get to hung up on big boost #'s.
I see 60lbs total boost with 80lbs of drive press.
Some things that affect my boost psi are SoCal stage 2 heads, cam, injectors, intercooler piping, PPE intercooler, possibly even PPE manifolds and up-pipes.
I 100% think a drive pressure gauge is worth it. Very instrumental in tuning.
I have a 35# gauge for the 483 boost, a 60# gauge for total boost and a 100# gauge for drive pressure.

X2, perfect explanation. Most I have seen from that combo is 82psi boost/130psi drive on Brett's truck at 9.20@148mph in the quarter. Has a lot to do with motor combo though so every truck will be a little different.

I made just shy of 900hp with the 72/83 and 60s. Truck ran super smooth and clean. Once I stepped to 100s the fun began haha
