O.k.,single phase 5 hp should be a 184t frame, you can get a cheap off brand for less than 200.00.
I dont think so?? ...the only 5hp inexpensive off-brand motors are 56t frame and 3450 rpm. Ive looked everywhere...!
O.k.,single phase 5 hp should be a 184t frame, you can get a cheap off brand for less than 200.00. You will need a 25-30 amp breaker. I think at 230 volt fla is around 20 amps at full load. 208 volt is around 23-24 fla.
think that was his discounted price.maybe he could get them for you guys that need them.
EBay has some off brand 184t frame 1800 rpm 5hp motors for around 200.00. Northern tool might as well. Lesson and Baldor are between 450.00 and 600.00 usually. If what you need is in fact a 184 t 1800 rpm open drip 5 hp 230 volt motor.
Josh listed a couple of good links up above.
I found one for $349, and honestly, I would gladly pay $150 more for a much better quality product. I rely on mine for my business though.
There are some 200 dollar range ones but they look used. That Baldor motor new from a motor shop is 588.00. A/O smith is around 560.00. I think Baldor are still made in america. Either way good luck and check amp draw when your done. If it is to high reduce the size of your motor sheave. Or buy an adjustable sheave.
