Funny things is,
I recall when Nick started up the Place it was a 'freedom site' a get out of jail card to say.
No longer would we have SUPPORTING vendors shoved down your throats. Freedom of speech good and bad! We'd have PM messaging that was really private!
Vendors would be kept to a minimum. People could freely share ideas and products with out being FORCED to become a vendor.
There would NEVER be Google ads and the site would not be sold! Etc Etc Etc..... I believed him too!
My oh my how things changed so quickly! How fast it went from 'family' to a business!

We just have a different philosophy than many other enthusiast sites.
There will be no Toyota/Honda/Tampon/Fuel Magnet ads here. Period.
Duramax-specific ads help the readers, and help with the costs of running the board. Now as we all get older, perhaps we should allow Viagra, Depends, and Ensure ads, but not right now.
Seems we have been running this board just about as long as Nick ran TDP now. Perhaps longer now? He's driving a VW last I heard.
