Why would I trade? Well, the duramax is easy and cheap to mod, responds very well to mods, hold more weight in the bed, and gets decent MPG. Ford is never a consideration due to piss poor MPG. Considering I'm leaving everything stock, the first three are not important any more. MPG is tops since I tow a travel trailer vs. carrying the pictured truck camper, and drive about 19-20 K per year. When stock, correct me if wrong, the engines, DM or CTD, are pretty equal in power and just about everything except MPG. CTD are always a bit better. What it really comes down to is the looks and MPG. The new 2010 dodge looks good. So does the new GMC, but not as nice. The interior is much nicer on the dodge IMHO also. Keeping things in the relm of "stock" I don't think the dodge is better...just looks better and more mpg usually. I've never had issues with the GMC that I didn't cause, so it's a great truck. If I didn't jump off the PSD band wagon (3) to get my GMC, I'd have never been here and had all the fun with my DM. After a dodge, I may be back some day, but I can't think of a reason NOT to try the dodge right now. If I was going to mod again, I'd do the duramax and reuse all my current stuff.
Still looking right now, doing research, haven't made a decision, but am leaning to the CTD.
I'm definitely not frustrated with the Duramax... just my situation that I caused and have no one to blame but myself.
