Love my 08 but I'm gonna trade/sell it next week. Its still an almost everyday driver and the fuel mileage is seriously the worst I've ever seen. It won't do better than 10.1 mpg no matter how soft I drive it. Averages right at 8mpg just driving normally everyday. I've done everything people have told me to try on it and just can't afford to drive it. I switched to a Duramax because of all my buddies constantly telling me about how much power they make, and how great the mileage is along with it. Haha. I have found one of those statements is very true, however the other couldn't be farther from the truth. Pretty disapoined !

I have a 5" mbrp straight pipe up to a 7" single stack, so I got rid of the dpf, and egr. We just put plastic caps on the sensors and deleted both with efi. I've tried like 6 or 7 different tunes goin for mpg. Put a dps5 switch on so I'm not always driving around on the biggest tunes.

I'd have to say something is wrong or is getting figured wrong
My 04 LB7 gets 8-10mpg pulling a 5th wheel trailer and doubles with wheelers or seadoos behind it on tons of passes-rolling hills and I thought that was shitty. 2010 CCLB gets 17-19mpg unloaded cruisin 80 on the highway with a dpf delete, 4" exhaust, and stock tires. So something is either up with your truck or with how it's figured up. Ever check your speedo/odometer against a good gps to see if they are correct?

This sounds odd...how come you haven't brought up your mileage complaint before? Maybe I missed it, but you obviously have an issue!

My truck is not too far off from yours and I see over 19 most tanks with 60% city.

Not sure who does your tuning but I would talk to them.

Also x2 on the fuel filter when mine needs to be changed my MPG drops fast and smokes more then I like.

Looks like he did almost a months and one week ago http://www.duramaxdiesels.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33148

Good find, Habit not looking on tapatalk.

Kidwickedlmm, did you ever try another tune? "Big efi" tune doesn't say much. Give these guys a little more info and they might be able to figure out what is going on unless you have already made a deal on another truck.

Either way, good luck

Does how we just shut the dpf and egr off possibly have something to do with it? Like I said we just put plastic caps over the sensors. Ya guys I have calculated it by hand and its even worse than I thought. CTS said I was in the low 12s mpg, and figured on a calculator its closer to 10 mpg and some tanks dips to as low as high 8s. I pretty sure my hottest tune is a 3800pw tune. Also have a 70hp, 120hp, smoke(which I never use), and another hot tune with a different adamazation that smokes harder at wot. I also have an air dog 2 165.

did you actually remove the dpf and straight pipe it or just cap the sensors and turn off the reporting parameters in efi? If you removed DPF and Cat you should be getting pretty good mileage. My bone stock LML is getting 18.5 highway with only 400 miles on the clock.

Is this all you did to get rid of the dpf? if so the canister is probably clogged
