ya know I just was struck with a thought....the new ZR1 IS nasty...I mean it is on par with the best of the best in the WORLD when it comes to performance. So to expect a 7000lbs truck to run with one is kinda nuts. BUT....we all know that there are trucks that will not only run with them but beat them up pretty good. How crazy is that? GM's halo car, the highest performance production vehicle ever made in the US, and for less money(including mods) we can build a truck that will take it in a drag..and then haul all our crap around the country..these are good times boys!

I agree.. I have a buddy with a new Z06 and before dr's it couldn't move from a dig. Set of tires and some small mods knocked his times down a boatload.
Believe what you want, but I have a 600 hp dmax that won't touch my vette.
Btw the newer vettes have launch control

Whatever you say launch control boy.... I dont need a z06 to know you can only get so much power to the ground on street tires... Just made the commebt that one will get out harder on good tires- if you want to get your panties in a wad over that be my guest :thumb:
I don't care what you say you woop me in a race but off the line on street tires I WILL have you. If even it's only for 60 feet
Duramax's are fast but there's stuff that's faster than most of them. A 13 or even 12 second anything isn't faster than a ZR1. Just isn't. Disagree if you want but WolfLLY is right, he knows what he's talking about.
??... go ahead and try reading before posting. I can't find a single post where someone is stating a 12 or 13 second dmax is faster than an even decently driven zr1??
I see the OP stating he might take a vette driven by a kid who obviously has no idea what he's doing... I see everyone else including the OP stating that a decent driver in a zr1 is going to stomp a 12/13 second dmax.....
I am going to have to say that I agree the OP never stated he should beat this car , merely that he might v, i think the rest of the arguing is just stating people personal opinions on the matter , I happen to trust UtahSki's opinions on the other arguing because I know for a fact he has driven a ZR1 , ZO6 , and has a 850 hp Duramax that I have driven to attest to that fact :rofl: continue on :angel:
