Well guys im going to the tract tonight for the first time. I dont have a good tune to run as i am a sucky tuner and only know how to make smoke :D

Someone mind maybe making me a tune or giving me one? I really want somethin like a 120 or 130 horse tune. If anyone can help me out soon thatd be great.

your tranny needs to be rebuilt

Rail Pressure (P0087) and transmission codes (P0700 & P0777).

You should deal with the transmission codes 1st, the rail pressure is easy, but not necessary until your transmiison can handle things better. Did you get these codes on the same pass? How many passes did you make?

The P0087 was on a separate pass which i turned it down. I got that code twice. Then when i got the Transmission codes i quit. I wasnt about to break my daily driver at the track. I need a lift pump bad though

how many diesels showed up last night

Well lets see there was one other Dmax that ran 12's. It was a regular cab with stacks, lifted looked like 35's, had injector tips, PPE HOT ET or what its called, Built tranny, and a few other things. Then there was 4 somewhat stock cummins that came. Then another niceee cummins, Red lifted, black stack, im sure it had a bigger turbo and stuff. Then there was another lifted cummins that this girl drives. Its got two chrome stacks and it smokes a $hitload though. She didnt wanna run her truck though. Then there was two powerstrokes. I know him one of them. Then there was the cummins that the guy from west texas diesel performance brought out i dont know if its fast or not though. Overall it was a good turnout probably 15 or so trucks.

sounds like a good turnout, most of the trucks you named run in the 15 sec. range, at least all the dodges :rofl:, I think one of the fords is in the low 14's. I havent heard of the single cab duramax, he may not be from around here.

:rofl: ya none of the dodges broke the 14 second mark. One of the powerstrokes did though. His transmission doesnt like it though. The Dmax guy didnt look like he was from around here. How helpful are injector tips on our trucks?

only when i get to the big tunes did i ever throw one of those codes and thats without a lift pump also and your stock tranny is going out already..i'm not trying to sound like a prick but what tune are you running,i would consider a change or something..my LBZ with a 100HP EFILive tune will run alot faster then that(i beat a 14.5 sec Cummins with it)and i don't run lift pumps,it has a built tranny but i ran alot more HP thru it when the tranny was stock.

No both passes were 15 second runs. One was with a race tune where i drained the fuel rail and it just kinda went dead and i cruised through and got a 15.6 then on my 90 hp i went a 15.3. I just dont have very good tunes. I dont have the money to pay someone to tune it right now and im a sucky tuner. Plus my tires were out of alignment after i put tie rods sleeves on and it provided alot of resistance. I could probably break 14 with a few tiny tweaks to the 90 hp tune and after the alignment. And dont worry you dont sound like a prick. I think having tow haul set used to racing it would have been faster too. My trany has been fine with running these tunes for a while but i was really pushin it against my friend with a race tune and the 5-6 shift i think maybe it was the 4-5 binded up and ruined my run. My truck throwes the low fuel rail code pretty easy too. It was fun though. I need to rebuild my trans when money allows. Would you be willing to share that 100 hp tune you were talking about. I wont be pushin my tranny too hard anymore since there isnt anymore race nights i just want a good tune.

i would share but it is a tune that IdadoRob built so i can't just hand it out,it was fairly cheap i'm sure he could set you up..i know that 100HP tune runs better then my PPE on 300HP would..the key to a fast truck is the right tune and the LBZ can be a pain to tune.also whens the last time you changed the fuel filter and aired out the air filter,i had that happen to me..talk about :eek:

Ya its been a while since i changed those. Ill do that today and see how she runs. Ive already talked to Rob about tunes and i dont know if a 100hp tune is considered a race tune but if it is then its gonna be expensive. And i need the money for a lift pump and intake.

You also have to take into account that i have front and rear replacement bumpers, loaded toolbox, and the spare in the bed. Im sure that slows me down some.
