GM set to buy back some trucks.....

I really hadn't heard of any more issues than what they've had in the past. Can anybody shed any light on this?

from the comments at the bottom of the article, looks to be a heat treatment issue with the block that causes warping and hydrolock. seems they want to do the engine swap at the factory. not sure if true or how many vehicles it effects

Haven’t had a coolant eating issue yet but hopefully not. Sounds like they can’t even get you an equal truck if you got a fully loaded one.

Only issues I’ve had (so far) is the dpf plugging up and set of injectors.
