Ghost Decals

So I took off my 4x4 decals and some of the other emblems and I can see the 4x4 ghosted in the paint, (black, Florida, 3 years old). What can I do?

No money for the body shop. Uncle Sam hit me for $5k from 2007 this year.

Have you tried washing it good and using a clay bar and that sort of thing?

not yet... clay tomorrow. and a nice long wash. Last time I waxed... I never did the bed. I got tired after the cab. Too damn big.

i was going to pull my moldings and 4x4 stickers but i was afraid of this, esp since it is an 01.

You may also try some WD40 or goo gone as that would take way less work. Just a suggestion though

IMO, most likly gonna need to be machine buffed and waxed after. If thats beyond your means right now, get some rubbing compound and a hand pad and carfully work it with that and re wax after. Might go with a finer cut though depends on your issue but this should do.
Shop at an autobody supply place for this kind of stuff if not online. Regular McParts house type stuff sucks and a professional at an autobody supply can def help you get the right products.:hug:

Of couse, make sure the old adhesive is all off!

i did my 4x4 sticker and i waxed it right away and i don't see anythin but now i'm starting to remove my pin stripe, thats a different story!!!

I hand buffed with swirl mark remover then waxed. Couldn't tell at all even in the sun.

I have no body skills, so I'm just gonna let the florida sun do it's job.
