Getting banks super scoop to fit for lb7

Just got a banks ram air intake w/ super scoop for my lb7. I know they don't make a super scoop for lb7's and I see why. Figured I could modify it to fit since I have a 4-6" lift, clearance shouldn't be an issue. The installation directions even give alternative instructions to make it fit for an lb7. I guess not.... anyone else ever gotten one to fit?

Cool Johnathan!

If you have to modify it im betting it wont be hard,

You can get all kinds of silicone couplings, clamps from intake hoses . com

or silicone intakes .com.

They may have what you need to install your scoop and make it look/work nice.:D

Post up pics!

Thanks Tim but I'm not sure if there's even a way to modify it..... The 35's eat the entire back end of the scoop.

Check it out:

If you take a heat gun to it, get it nice and hot, you can push the corner in enough to clear most tires. I didn't do this on mine and I rubbed a hole right through... The funny thing is, my IAT's haven't changed, they are still between 1 & 5 degrees above ambient while cruising down the road.

I've always been intrigued by those scoops. I've been running an S&B now for a couple years and I've never noticed any bit of difference at all. And even if I mash the go pedal, my IAT's still shoot through the roof. I'm curious to know where exactly the ECM is reading the temps from. Is it the MAF or inside the manifold?

Someone said that Banks was supposed to come out with a scoop for the standard S&B boxes but I've lost touch with the internet the last year or so. Hell, I rarely even drive my truck anymore. I've only put on 5000 miles within the last year anyways.
