I know I know, bad luck I would say. on our 03 now every once and awhile the gauges will all die. Restart the truck and they all work again. Cluster was rebuilt this summer. Only recent repairs were injectors a few weeks ago.

Any ideas would be appreciated thanks, otherwise I will have to dig deeper. But with 70-80* weather than snuck up on us, we are scrambling to get ready for field work. Thanks.

This is probably a bad instrument cluster. It happened to mine (it would flash on and off), then it finally died. Make sure to write down your mileage and hours if it matters to you. The instrument cluster is the only place this information is stored.

I had mine fixed by these guys: http://www.instrumentclusters.com/ and they did a good job. Apparently they had to resolder some of the connections due to corrosion, which is a common problem on GM IC's according to them. Did your IC repair guy just add new stepper motors, or did he also resolder all the connectors?

I had this one done at http://gmgaugerepair.com/. Helpful and fast because he was close.

According to the site yes the connections were redone. I got the full rebuild.

Also looks like a lifetime warranty. So as long as we can assume the issue is internal, then i Guess I will plan on contacting him.

Thanks.

Old batteries or low voltage at startup is usually the issue. Could be a bad component in the cluster, but Id check the starting/charging system first.
