on my way to SoCal right now and the tach is reading roughly 1,000 RPM low? at idle it reads 0...

If you are in there you might as well replace all 8 and I think they are like 50.00 bucks for all of them you just have to know how to solder on circuit boards. You can get them on ebay.

I printed DIY instructions for stepper motor replacement a few weeks ago...I sure as $hit ain't gonna fix that for you too, but you can have the paperwork...
