Not my idea, heard it from someone here, but not sure if it would work..

Since my 75 pedestal is not gate ready, either I get a new RDL unit, or this:

LB7/LLY passenger side up pipe with EGR provision..

Brace the EGR rider pipe (like you can do in EGR delete)

Connect the riser pipe to inlet of gate.

outlet of gate routed to fenderwell sort of like PPE Dan's..

Thoughts?

yeah it would only gate from one side, which would still slow the turbo, but would create a serious imbalance from the left to right bank.

I don't think it would be too unbalanced. Dumping off one side would have lower DP and flow into the turbo, which would make the ungated bank flow better. It would be unbalanced but not too bad. Now gating it downstream of where the flows join is still much more ideal.

If its a divided housing the sides don't join until they hit the wheel in the turbine.

Good point.
It does look like the danville setup may tap both runners or sides.
I think my crank broke because of imbalance in backpressue.
I was gated off of the egr port on a twin setup at the time.

I don't think that 100psi of drive (which is a lot imo), is anything substantial for the piston to push against on exh stroke compared to cyl pressure on the compression stroke.
