Hello all I am new here. I actually own a diesel, but looking at 2005 LLY's at the moment. Leaning toward 3500's.. Any advice is welcome..

what do you want to do with the truck? i would personally go with a 2006-07lly/lbz for most uses.
Looking for good gas mileage loaded and unloaded. Whats wrong with the 2005's? I thought they were also LLY's??
To a point. No allison is gonna survive if you beat on it hard enough. I'd go with an lbz. I like the thought of turning 2k @ 80mph.... 
Just looking at the pricing between the LLY's and the LBZ's the LLY's fit more in my budget. Locally its over a 2k difference.
