I'm interested in this as well. Been wanting a better tune for MPG for my wife's 09 Tahoe with the 5.3 as well. Blackbear is the tuner of choice I hear and after calling them I was a little disappointed to hear they could only promise 1 mpg improvement with their tune. Didn't think it was with the money myself but if there is other info I'm all ears!

You called? The guys on gmfullsize seem to say contact is email only. I've been wanting to tune my 8.1 for a while but never got around to it.

Keep debating on a tune for the gas van. Think I'm going to buy the vin license finally. Switching to 265's for the winter and hate the odo off.

Keep your AFR's around 12.5 at wot and if you ever switch to forced induction you want them around 11.5. I would pre log it and see how well the factory tune is actually working before I'd waste anytime on it. If you're going to mess with advance go up in 2 degree increments until you get some knock and then back it down a couple of degrees.

Kyle, my friend, did you get that wideband yet?....not your truck hmm?

Told the guy who wants the tune that if he bought the wideband and vin license I would school myself on his truck. Brave fellow...... wideband should be arriving later this afternoon. Will start playing if I have some time.
