Have a tv7301 on my hand.
Planned to compound turbo my lb7.
Does anybody have any experience with this turbo?
Plan is over stock.
The spec i 3" in, 4,20" tip and exhaust is 3,30" with 1,08 ar.
Will this handle 55psi pressure?
I think its large enough, but will it handle 600-700rwh?

Anybody knows?
Sorry for my bad english, i'm a norwegian:):):)

Yes, stock bottom end for now, so no more than 500whp first. Maybee 40psi boost for start.

How will it be compared too s475?

Its roughly the same as a GT4202 75mm inducer 83mm turbine. It will be fine.

I'm at 600 on a stock bottom but I also realize I'm playing with fire... I run 50 ish boost.

Thanks:) the answer i was looking for:) no info on Internett of this turbo:)

My reason for compound is lower egt's when towing, better fuel milage, and more hp:) and the backpressure will drop when towing= free hp:)

How much boost will the org intercooler handle?

As long as the measurements you gave in the first post are correct, it measures out to roughly the 4202.

Can't beat twins for all around performance:thumb:

Stock intercooler is fine, they have been pushed to 100psi... Should be just fine for your application. If it's removed already pressure it up and ck the corners for leaks, for some reason Behr decided not to finish welding the corners... Some leak bad others just weep.

TV series are old, I'm not even sure they use inconel turbine wheels. TV series chargers are not meant for making alot of power, 83mm turbine on an atmosphere turbo is way to small for a functional set of compounds.

I agree its an older design but it is basically a gt4202. Lots and lots of twined trucks ran that charger in the early days. Mpi used that turbo on the early kits and just ground all the markings off of it.

It will work in this application, it's not a full race setup and he already has it.
