So I won't pick up new rims for another month or 2, and in the meantime my surface-rusted steelies are killing me. Anyone know any good methods that will work to clean these things up in the mean time? Just plain steel dually rims with vanity rings.

Well to clean them up yeah. But I'm talking about something I can do myself to make them look good, maybe home chrome? I don't know, never ventured in to this before

TX of course
Painting thems easy wire brush, solvent, and probably a spray can per wheel. No need to prime or clear them for such a short time. They do sell spray cans of chrome paint but I never tried it.

Yeah I bet alot of the spray chrome is junk, and was hoping someone had found something that worked. Guess I'll just have to figure out what color to spray them. Thanks for the input guys

Ive painted alot of sets of wheels with good results. Get them blasted and primer paint and clear them and theyll hold just just as well as powdercoat.
