Brian, we have some new stuff at the shop my parents just made for their dog room to go on the concrete. Works just like the epoxy stuff but has a dull finish so no glare. I just dont know how it will do with tire wear and what not. If you want, let talk to my dad monday and ill be able to hook you up with the stuff if it will work. Im gunna do my garage with it this winter either with this new stuff or epoxy

Hmmm interesting. It's just a time constraint, I get keys next thursday and it takes 2 days to do the floor coating, and I dont wanna move all my crap back out of the garage to do it during winter  Looks like I willll be doing the more expensive route, has a 10 year warrenty on the coating.

It was either buy rods for the engine, or do the floor, and I hate cleaning concrete with oil stains on it, easier to wipe it up. Truck sits in garage anyways

Owner actually gave us $.35 off a sq ft because my mom is retired military and so was he, so that helped too.

Ive been looking into acid staining my floors, stuff is crazy you can make a bare concrete floor look like real tile, granite or marble and shit:D

Yeah, I originally wanted to do a "fake flagstone" look, then have a clear coat on top of that, thought it would really be cool, but cost was too much. next time lol.

My old garage had tire marks from my LB7 and LBZ literally sitting in the same spot for months, but no bike tire issues.

Hey a topic that relates to my line of work! Behr makes a good user friendly product. Holds up nice and looks great. With any coating though it's all in the prep. New concrete isn't as critical as concrete that's been around awhile. Since yours is new I wouldn't worry about using a strong chemical like muratic acid. Simple soap and water will work.

Also after reading back most are spot on with what they say. Like anything else you get what you pay for. If your garage is the typical garage it'll be fine and you'll be very pleased. If it's a garage that is more like a tire shop in and out with tons of abuse I would get a more commercial grade product. Application is very easy. If you go with flakes an don't buy an applicator for them like the handheld one etc be sure to disperse them evenly and a lot. The first few sweeps some will come off but 95% will stick well. If you don't use the flakes the surface can be very slick and could be a tripping hazard.
