you dont want it to break. i never did mine but i was going to shoot for 3 but kinda see how it felt as i wound it. if it was super tight after 2, i was going to stay there.

Well, last night I went to put 2 turns on the spring, but only got 1 turn out of it before it was too short to rest on the other rod.....

you can try uncoiling it to get another wrap around. uncoiling it by its self will increase the spring rate.
