Yeah, basically not letting it unlock at higher speeds. But it also means it may/can lock up as James warned, at higher speeds too thus raising the risk of damaging it

I’d check ace hardware. I bet they got one real close. Doubt you will be able to get one otherwise unless you get a junk carrier

Or uncoil the broke side some and bent a new end to it. Less coils means higher spring rate as well (mo betta in this case lol)

I would but the shaft spins lol I was thinking about using a cable clamp and adding some length to the spring. I think uncoiling it would cause it to break more. Guess I’m buying a torsion style thanks guys :rofl:

Well st this point, just pull the spring and either cut or throw a tack on the catch so it stays put and lets the fly weights catch. If it goes, throw torsen in!

I was able to uncoil the spring and got an extra turn on it, it definitely feels stiffer. I’m waiting for the RTV to dry before I fill it up. I’m hoping it rains so I can test it out.

I literally just through my old carrier away with that spring in it Let me go check the metal bins at work and see if it's still there.

No worries I was able to get the spring to uncoil and I made it work. Thank you though. I’m just trying to get my pinion angle correct so I can go test it out.

Finally got to try it out. I have always been disappointed with my G80 compared to an 04 and 05 we have. But wow what a difference after I would definitely recommend doing this.
