Putting the hammer down on your dually shows the weak clutchpack maybe. I don't see many G80 stuff down just stock or a little hopped up truck range though. I run the BG gear oil additive in my rearend and it locks in fine all cases so far time will tell how it works.
I've got the Grizzly in mine, it does push/pull the truck around in the corners some, it seems to do it worst while driving normal, when driving agressive it will pretty much stay locked, and while casually crusing along it seems to be okay. I like it because it doesn't slip @ all before it locks, and my truck whips donuts that impress my buddies that have mustangs. It does make some noise when locking/unlocking like someone else said, enough that a few people riding with me wonderd what had broke. I just play along with a nervous laugh and say "don't worry about that noise".
On a side note another guy in town with a built duramax has the tru-trac and hes very happy with it.
I also know craig (mainemax04) has 750whp and is still on his stock rear end and it works fine for him.
When did you first discover that it was locked all the time? When I go up parking garage ramps it will chirp around the corners but other than that I never get a chirp or bind.

It was last week right after I layed out 4 signatures accelerating hard from an intersection jammed with 12" lifted, 10" stacked, bull ball hangin, train horn honkin, truck drivin Attitududes
(It is bash a redneck week isn't it?) J/K
It was chirping and binding around every corner and marked up my new concrete driveway pretty good where I back in. It unlocked for no apparent reason on the weekend and I've been TRYING to be nice to it since.
Update: The G80 is toast. My pinion seal started leaking last Thursday, I pulled it apart last night and there is carnage.
I suspect the 4 hour flogging I gave it in December to get out of a snowed in logging road finished it off, shrapnel took out the front pinion bearing and then the seal.
I had picked up a complete SRW diff with a trutrac so I should be back on the road in an evening or two. I just need to learn about mesh pattern, backlash etc, are there many tricks?
I toasted my g80 it started locking in spastically, I bought a grizzly locker for 900 from alligator. Had a buddy instal it, I love that it always locks up, but at slow speeds, parking, turning, back in, it's kind of a pain. Tires chirp/ scrub and it makes it really jerky. I also have a solid centerlink so my truck won't turn worth a shit, if any one drives my truck they ask me what's wrong with it lol
