I was roddin around town and rollin coal a few months back and I got stopped at a stop light. So I am waiting there and these 2 guys (16-18) pulled up on my left in a clean stock late 90s k1500. The drive says, "Hey man, how does your truck blow so much black smoke?" I kinda laughed and said, "Its cause I run diesel". Without skipping a beat he replied, "running diesel in my truck will do that!?" I could not help myself, "F**K YEAH!!!" I said back and burnt on out of there. :roflmao:

For 1 blowin smoke around is very stupid, doesnt look cool, nor does it make sense. and those kids might be just as dumb. Funny story, but the reason we are having all these issues with diesels now. Thanks guys.:thumb:

U obviously dont read or pay attension to anything do u? Epa has cracked down on all diesels. All the big programmers have been hit hard.
And i actually own around 15 trucks. Most are dmaxs. I own a landscaping company, u have alot to learn. Classic example of a dodge owner:thumb:

Well when you're right you're right. So rarely that I do drive around doing that and you want to insult me. You must of never ever of done anything of the sort right? Never got on the throttle and let out some smoke? Yeah I still do have a lot to learn hence why I joined this forum. Looks like I just learned my first lesson. Thank you, and thank you for your insults. Lesson 2. What is a Dodge?

There is alot of good info on this forum, along with tons of good people. All im sayin is, its not smart to blow around excessive. Or un needed smoke. At this day and age where we are under the microscope, we need to watch what we do. Smoke is part of the game, but smoke tunes are not, nor is smokin cars, intersections. Ect. On my big tunes, it smokes till the twins light, and cleans up very well, so i hardly leave much smoke, nor do i try. Im more interested in speed then smoke. Wasnt tryin to be an ass earlier, i just have many people around here that think blowin smoke is so awesome, drives me nuts. And im 28, age has nothing to do with my opinion.

Arneson is a great member and believe it or not he was trying to help you by getting you up to speed on Diesel performance dos and donts. We all smiled and giggled when our trucks were first tuned and commanded a lot of fuel (black smoke is end result). But as we get older and more responsible we realize its not cool to cover people at stoplights in smoke. It gives diesels and those involved in competitive diesel motorsports a bad name. We as a group want to be viewed as responsible people who respect the law. He wasn't trying to lecture you nor am I. We just want to help you understand the culture here on this forum. Some things just aren't cool. Again don't take it the wrong way, we want everyone to contribute/benefit from/enjoy the forum.

Oh and one more thing, DF shit don't fly over here. I mean that in the nicest possible way. Welcome to DuramaxDiesels!

He may be a great member but yeah he came off as a dick. Maybe he could use a lesson in manors before he speaks to people in that way. Im not talking like im a tough guy but seriously I didn't deserve that. Plus, I have been researching ways to burn all that excessive fuel and clear it up. Like I said, Its here and there that I get on it but I didnt roll it over the kids in the truck. They were on my left. I very well understand that people that can give other people a bad name by things that they do. But I am not the person who builds a toy and doesnt play with it. Thanks for the explanation of your friend/member.

Also, what is DF shit? Dumb F**K shit?

So you are only trying to ruin our hobby, "here and there".

Thanks a lot. I'll say it again, diesels are becoming the ricers of today.
Thanks to ricers like you.

And the insults keep coming. Getting on the throttle in my truck doesn't pour out that much smoke since I am never on the race tune. When Im on it im in tow mode. How is that trying to ruin your hobby? I drive my truck probably 5-6 times a month. Other than that I drive my Toyota. Why am I getting singled out for a funny story that hurt no one? Is it cause I wasn't hooked to a sled or at a track? Cause I wasn't flooring it as a hobby? Cheer up guys.
