"full boar" diesel mufflers

Has anyone ever used one of these? I've been watching it in my ebay for a few weeks now and am curious about. I like how small and slim it is. I really don't care if it quiets the truck down a whole lot, i just want that raspy drone gone that you get with a non vvt turbo and straight pipe. My normal exhaust is ok but if i put my stack in for track use...it is so loud and sounds like it's about to shatter my back window. I want to put this little muffler in the front pipe. I have a big ats muffler I can swap in but it's huge and annoying to mess with.

The body is 12" long and overall length is 16" long...for $47 bucks seems like a nice little muffler.

i think for 47 bucks u cant go wrong even if it doesent work and it kinda reminds me of mbrp mufflers but i know there longer ithink around 16 inches and im sure there more expensive

I will probably next week. This ats muffler is screaming "I want to get shot full of holes"...i dont like this ats muffler at all anyways.

Lots of guys over on CompD literally swear by the FTE resonator. They're available in different sizes, but they are the same diameter as your exhaust pipe.

I run a stack race season & would like it quieter. I hate always swapping from the stack to the dump just cuz it drives my wife crazy riding in the truck. I tuned my tcm to lock up in 2nd all the time so you can imagine how much it sucks.

Yeah, I have 2 friends that run them on there cummins and love them because they totally got rid of the drone on highway. My buddy built me one for free but I havn't got it installed yet. All it is is a piece of auger flighting welded inside pipe. FTE is the brand btw for the guy that asked.

Wonder if I could make my own...i have some 5 inch pipe and 4 inch pipe. Drill holes in the 4 inch pipe and slide it i side the 5 inch pipe, center it and fold the ends down then weld it up. What kind of packing should i use? I've got a crap load of fiberglass dirt bike exhaust packing. How long do you think that stuff would last?
