My truck on a 2500pw tune ran like garbage without a liftpump and that's my DD tune. I have a heavy foot there's no way I could handle not having a pump for 6 weeks. Specially now that it's getting nice out

We use the Fuel Lab on our p pumped 2.6" truck. It run great and holds 60 psi on high speed feeding a 13mm pump flowing 650cc of fuel.
That doesn't sound right. Was that with no liftpump, or a dead one? I have found about 50% of the time the ppes are completely flow thru, otherwise you will choke for fuel about 2,500. Doesn't matter when they were made, I had newer ones choke out, and older ones flow thru in vise versa
That's with no pump at all. Ppe's are hit or miss for flow through. My last one would only let me limp home at 45mph. This one I've gotten to highway speeds without loosing rail but soon ad I hit like 50-60mm3 she starves

15 psi to the ficm , why would that be a problem?
They don't have a 4 micron filter if you don't run a different or stock filter that might be a issue for you on a DD.
You would probably want to run a regulator..... That being said you decide on how much press you want.

We don't run a small filter like a common rail would like but we do run a filter base that will accept cat filters and a 4 micron would be no problem on that. We use a 40 micron pre filter and a 10 micron post filter.
That would work just fine. I think the stock fuel filter is 2 micron though......
Also I too would run the regulator.
Not sure why guys get all horny for the Mitusa. A Fuelab will put out just as much or maybe even more without a bunch of mechanical crap to fail. And they are flow through in case they quit for one reason or another.
Like Simon said, they aren't plug and play and are kind of loud. You have to use the Regulator with the efi pumps that are capable of 100psi. It's a lot of plumbing and wiring but for the pure performance market I don't believe there is anything better. We use a two speed switch and the regulator can be boost referenced but we didnt need to so we didn't.
The pump, filter and regulator was just over the $600 mark all together. Sure some plumbing is required to gain the full potential of it but you could tie into your stock system if you really wanted to. Check out www.fuelab.com and you can see the assortment of different filters and fittings that you can also get.
As far as noise goes, it's louder than a PPE or Kennedy or AD but quieter than the FASS I had!
I believe Aeromotive pumps are good for diesel as well. IIRC Mika runs one.

Aeronotive a-1000 is rated for diesel.
If you guys think the 15psi is too much for my ficm then I guess I'll have to get a regulator, however If I have to get a regulator I might as well just get the stronger pump like the 200gph@20psi.
Not worried about filtration I have the stock filter for that.

Plumbing and wiring shouldn't be that big of a deal right? Already have a relay setup for the pump and some pluming provisions. I'm just going to continue to use the stock pickup as it's not givin me a problem yet
Ouch. That's why I was hoping the 15psi pump would work without one but that seems rather iffy now 
On the 15psi Thing,, you'd be fine but when the pump is rated for say 160gph at 15 psi,, that doesn't mean thats all the pump will do. The 160gph @ 15psi pump will push up to 20 psi before it bypass's internally , which may or may not be a problem. We use a 42404 which is 190gph at 45 psi but we regulate ours to 60psi. FL says that pump will do 90-100psi. We use a 51501 regulator.
I didn't think it was that bad a price for a complete kit of very high quality which puts out more than a FASS or AD. Sure it doesn't come with a wiring harness or hoses but from my experience that stuff that comes in most of the kits you buy are garbage IMO and I usually never use any of it anyhow unless it's a pre-made harness with weather pack connections or something.
