This pump uses a filter that is 4 micron nominal/20 micron absolute. The Baldwin # is BF1212. I deleted my stock filter housing and would like a 2 micron filter. Anyone know if there is a 2 micron filter that will work in place of the BF1212? If not I'll remount the factory housing.

I can't seem to remember what forum I read it, but I *think* I remember someone that found a Cat crossover that was 2 micron. If I run across it, I'll post the link and/or part number.

It looks like the BF1212 is a 1-14 thread filter. I use Donaldson P553203 filters that are that size. They are 99% efficient at 3 microns and 95% efficient at emulsified water.

CAT 1R-0750 as long as you don't care about having a drain on it. This is the one I will be running with a deleted stock filter housing.

The 1R-0749 and I believe the 1R-0751 is also the same. Just different length filters. I like the 1R-0750 because it is shorter.
