Hey guys, I'm wanting to mod my fuel system, I've got the Fass, with filter, I was wanted to run new lines from the pump to the egine, an bypass the fuel filter,
Now would a inline filter be wise to install or do I need it? Also in the winter has anyone had any problems with the fuel cause if i"m not mistaken in the stock fuel filter housing there's a heater, If someone could advise me I would appreciate it, I've been looking around an can't find a good thread on doing this process...

You can do that Dean. That is what i talked to you about but the system that I am making goes a lot farther than that and you can feel a difference with it also.

watch out on them fass pumps with them dual filters, that smaller filter that comes on there that they say seperates out water, it dont. it aint worth a dam. we had us a problem with one of them not stopping water. we went down and got a baldwin 1212 filter that will stop water and it will screw on there. you see what the little filters on there are they are just cans with wire mesh in em, we cut the one we had on there in half.

Baldwin 1212. thats the filter I have in between my aux tank and factory tank.

$12.90 at my local supplier

Edit: when I pick it up they always say oh yea that cummins filter. Don't know if its a cummins filter or they're just messing with me cause they know I have a dmax

So how would you know that this truck has this issue since you just got it. Since your not Bill but post just like him. You know he said it was never any water in the fuel and that it was a factory filter on the truck that was junk now its a Fass system.

The Fass housing has were you can run heated coolant back to the housing if you want. But if you run a good fuel treatment you should be fine without the fuel heater. Fass is working away from the 10 Micron filters and running the 3 only. I plan on running a Fass 260 on my truck with just the 3 Micron out back also the water Separator has a pre fuel filter also built into it. So I will be loosing the housing up front for now i'm just going to taking the filter head off the valve cover and loop a fuel line over the valve cover were it come from the tank to the filter head then back to the cp3.

Be right here for me so kinda easy on the LBZ

Later on I will be running -10 to the front from out back and -8 and a return and loosing all the factory lines.
