Trent, you probably know, but ground one of the filler neck bolts to the frame. The tech guys have a field day with that one.

I am going to try it that way first , I can change it pretty easy later if i need to . I dont think it will be an issue with the pumps so close , we will see .

just be sure you have a couple feet of extra in your lines so that when you need to flip it around, the hose can reach the new length.

For something as simple as just flipping it around so the fuel is sloshed into the sump rather than slung out of it on launch, why not just do that now instead of trying to see if it's going to be a problem or not? Just set it up now so that it for sure won't be a problem. Is there some reason why you can't or don't want to turn it around now? something in the way? or just being stubborn?

Also, what make and model are those pumps? Still running one to each CP3 like you mentioned before?

Maybe stubborn i guess :angel: I just dont think it will be an issue , and soft hose is so simple to change and the mounting as well , I would like to keep it the way it is for the pluming design I have envisioned i guess and i if wont work I wont complain about changing what i want it too look like I know a few guys running the Helman unit facing forward with out issues and its pretty much the same design , like i said I see it as a 20 min fix to change so no biggie either way .

As long as you don't run the fuel level too low, you should be fine.

8 gallon , almost bought a 5 gal but figured a little more storage capacity would help with keeping the fuel cool .

He admitted his reason is stubborness and aesthetics - wants hose routing to look a certain way. Fair enough to me n even though his configuration isn't optimumit should work alright if enough fuel is in the tank n it's the way he wants it. Nuff said IMO beings it's his project.

Agrree that it would be better to have the outlet and pumps at the back ,but it isnt needed. I had no issues at all and Trent will be pumping more fuel than I was and yet burning close to the same amount. Keep the suction line to the pump and keep the tank as full as possible he will be fine.

I would maybe consider using check valve on the outlet of the fuel cell though.

Trent, please correct me if I'm wrong. Mitch I believe those are BD Flow Max pumps. 150 GPH at 10psi, 165 GPH full flow. It is a gerotor design. The P/N is 1050320 for a 01-07 DMax. I just happened to have a BD catalog here with me. BTW Trent, the set up looks awesome.

Yep they are BD's "Flow Max" lift pumps and the filter setups are BD also .
