This increase in fuel is really pissin me off. I dunno if its the reasoning for it that pisses me off more or the fact they went up. You cant tell me that because Egypt is in civil unrest, fuel prices are goin up. its a crock of shit. This political BS really urks me cause i know damn well its a freakin excuse as to why the oil companys can jack up prices. Maybe im naive and dont have info straight here but something seems very very off here. I know we are cheaper than most countries but in two weeks we've gone up fifty cents to a dollar in most states. I know this rant aint doin much good to stop the issue but you can sure as hell bet ill be tryin to save a much fuel as possible now or anything else i can come up with to help keep money out of those oil guys pockets.

guess its time i start lookin for a little commuter car again or start peddlin my cruiser bike around

diesel is bottom of the barrel, all the junk left over, no reason for it to be expensive, i remember when all other fuel was $2.25 and up and diesel was only $1.61, ahh, the good old days....bend over and grab ur ankles:roflmao:

You know it sucks when my ranger is more than 40 bucks to fill up.

I drive the same way to work everyday, and in the past 2-3 weeks diesel has went from 3.01 to 3.59 and jumped to 3.69 for a few days. F'ing stupid.

I heard on the news that the stations are raising the prices in antipication that fuel will cost more than the fuel in the tank now.

I work in the oil support business and the Obama administration isn't helping this any by keeping the drilling moratorium going.

We need to start drilling here again.

We aint seen the end of this either guys....the oil companies and speculators will definitely use any unrest and "disaster" to push the price of fuel to over $5, either this year or next. The PR arm of the US Government (also known as the mainstream media) has already started the "conditioning" articles to get us "ready" for it. Our economy is going to tank if fuel is that costly.

yeah i believe it. Im jsut hopin when prices do drop again from surplus that its only the oil market thats affected. its a long shot but my figers are crossed.

BTW, my buddy jsut watch the gas station by his house in flagstaff where he filled up this mornin at 3.59 jump to 3.99 by the afternoon. Talk about a bunch of crooks

I have to agree w/ everyone else's opinion here. The hardest part for me to believe is that last month on the news I was watching a speculator say that fuel would be close to $4.50 and one say $5 on a national average and that it would reach these points because of the demand other countries were putting on the oil consumption, the recovering economy, and now they say it is Egypt's unrest. So what's the truth, none of it. I know they're gonna raise the price but don't freakin lie to me about why, I still won't like you but at least I can respect the fact that you're a money hungry dbag and not a piece of $hit lieing money hungry dbag that thinks a dumba$s, did we not learn anything from 2 yrs ago?

I though it was because of Libya's unrest.

It's not the oil companies that dictate the price, but the speculators and investors, aka greedy bastards.

What I don't understand is why the US is still relying on foreign oil, when there's enough oil in the tar sands to sustain the US and Canada for decades.

the administration will sit back and do nothing, this crisis does nothing more than justify their socialist policies and their ultimate goal of every one of us driving a toyota prius. Maybe the middle class will finally wake up and say fug you I'm not taking it anymore. I can't imagine how stressful this must be for the owner operators out on the rd.

OK here is the plan (shhhh, don't tell anyone, :secret: TOP SECRET :secret:). Watch them a butt-load of cars with there new found money, then dry up the middle-east of oil, drill for our own, then sell it to them and get/bring our money back. :jiggy:

It is getting to be ridiculous. Price going up every few days it seems around here. Local news are predicting $5.00 a gallon here by summer....

I agree that the media and their announcements about current/projected fuel costs are the result of political agenda. Time for a TDI. Cold day in hell when I drive a Prius
