does anyone know where to find a schrader valve adapter to hook up a pressure gauge? besides from KD because his kit is $150 i believe if im wrong though please tell me. OR if i cant find one, does anybody know if i can unbolt the schrader valve and the 4 or so inch tube and put an adapter in there? does that make sense? if it does and it can be done what kind of threads are on that?

 sorry i couldnt help more! I got mine from my Snap-on dealer a while back, think i paied about 150ish at the time. I needed it at the time so i got one but knowing what i know now, I shoulda made my own crap  I was in a bind so i didnt care have time to fab tools, but i got it anyways if i need it:spit:

If you need it as a diagnosis tool, when you figure out the plumbing bits and pieces, Ashcroft has nice gauges at a good price. The tools feature psi and fuel vaccum for non-lift pump trucks, like a stock dmax.

Might be some bleeder screw tap fittings too?

The guy a local perfromance strore said i could tap it out too, so it would accept an autometer 10mm 1.0 fitting they had in the store... i was really werry about that. i wouldnt mind doing that if i was tapping to a different size all together, but the same width with a different pitch just sounds ignorant to me. anybody tap the filter housing to a NPT size?

i guess it would be easy to get an t fitting to put inline somewhere in the fuel line... how important is it to have the sending unit close to the cp3? im thinking it might be easier to install it near the fuel pump, where i already have rubber fuel hose

Myself, id have it tapped in at least the engine bay. Around the filter should do fine. Not much better place to go under there, cramped area. I wouldnt re-thread the stock bleeder to a new pitch either, those would be some weak threads. The sucky part is there oddball thread pitch iirc but if you can get a plug the right threads, might be able to drill and tap it? or weld an adaper to a drilled plug? Dont have mine to look at to see if theres enough meat there to completely drill and tap the hole to NPT

Thats what I did. I just installed it by my Raptor inline and so far it works great.:D will try to get some pics tomorrow. When I first hooked it up I about craped the raptor was only putting out 8psi at an idle:mad: Now it puts out 15psi, much better:happy2:

thank you that would be very helpfull if you posted those pics. 8 to 15??? why did the pressure change? did u adjust the pump?

seems to me that it should read the same pressure anywhere in the fuel line. why would it be such a better idea to have it close to the filter if its all the same fuel line that the pressure is being read?
