LB7: Fuel Pressure Regulator probs

Recently my FPR has been acting up (at idle will surge). I plan to replace it in the near future. My question is, i have an Airdog and stock fuel filter, is there any way to improve the life of the FPR? Delete stock fuel filter? Does the Airdog screw with FPR negatively?

There are no tunes on the truck. Everything is stock.

If the pressure is turned up to high on the airdog it will cause a surge. How many miles on the truck ?

225k. Injector balance rates are fine.

How do you adjust the airdog flow rate?
