How many old posts of mine are you going to dig up?

With a lb7 you can pull the hose off before the sheafer valve its a aprox 1/4" ( metric) hose behind it.

A barbed fitting will fit right on to it:)

I used a 10mm x #4 jic on my filter housing and it ended up craking the housing from vibrations on the fuel line( many miles later ).......I doubt that would happen to anyone else though...Just my luck:rolleyes::D

if i find some more good ones ill break out the shovel :D

i tapped mine right after the FF befoe the cp3.

i did notice i could have tapped it there when i replaced my cp3 but its fine where it is.

That is actually a good spot since it is actual pressure before the cp3:)
( most important ) Mine is done similar but i dont have a FF up there:cool:

Do these locations to "tap" into the fuel system also pertain to the 2006 LBZ engine? Going to check mine out after work today. Thanks all.:)

My bleeder screw looks like the one in chads pic. I think all look like that.

The threads on the filter housing is a M10.

You need to order an adapter. Autometer sells them but there like 10 bucks. The place I posted is only 2.99 each......

You ever find out what threads those are? I'm heading out to try and find it. Thanks:)

Those are M10-1.0 pitch, but the bleeder screw from my truck is M10-1.5 pitch. Mike, can you post up a pic of you bleed screw please?

Ah shit your right chad. The adapter needs to be an Auto Meter 2265, thie link I posted is NOT an M10-1.0, rather an M10 1.5

It needs to be a M10 1.0 to 1/8" NPT.

I'll find the correct link.

for now you can use the Auto Meter 2265 ones, they work.

oops.

Here is where I took mine you just unscrew that factory black cap and valve stem looking thing and take that down to the hardware store and fine the adapters you need. I forget what it was like a 3/8 compression maybe, you should have choices in compression threads, NPT, Flange... there was like three fine the best fitting one... It may not have been exact but is was so close you couldn't really tell I put some tape on it tightened it up and have see a drop of fuel leak off of it yet.. It is right at the same point the CP3 is fed so it's a good reading for pressure to the pump.
Good Luck,
Jon

So would this be the best way to run a fuel pressure gauge?
