My truck is having 1/4 tank problems. Supply pressure drops a couple psi and is slow to build after cranking. And it stalls if the pump isn't running. I have already had the pickup out once trying to resolve it. Got better but not right. Wondering what can be done to modify the pickup to work better? Drilling or cutting holes in it? Replacing the plastic suction house with something else? I really don't want a sump because I think I'd probably rip it off or damage it off road.

I'll probably be putting a sump on my next truck. After seeing the sledge hammer test from one company in pretty sure I won't tear it off.

I should have phrased that better. Not so much worried about the sump itself, that's tough or tougher than the plastic tank. My worry is the line. Does anyone offer anything like a braided stainless to go from sump to pump?

Did you modify the stock pickup, or modify an aftermarket one? Never had any low fuel issues with my pickup tube from Kennedy.

Go on Summit and order a braided stainless line whatever length you need. Make sure it's PTFE lined.

Stock one. I haven't modified it at all. I didn't see anything obvious wrong with it but I also didn't have one to compare it to. I am curious if anyone has had good luck modifying the factory one. I might give it a shot

See this http://www.hdiesel.com/P/FASSFuelSumpKit/950 This is a sump kit that has the fuel line go out of the the top of the tank and out of harms way. The reason you are have 1/4 tank issues is that the 150 is moving so much fuel.
Maybe to an extent but my pump has a toggle switch override. If I turn it off or forget to turn it on when below 1/4 tank the truck either won't start or will stall. Not noticeable over 1/4 tank. I will look into that kit though.
I'll look into that.
X2. Both my trucks have Kennedy pumps with pickup and have no issues.
I'll look into the Kennedy pickup
