well got the truck back on the road the other day. i was checking voltage at the connector on drivers side valve cover to the regulator and had voltage and everything seemed fine. I looked closely at the connector coming from ECM and the supply voltage wire to the regulator was pushed out of connector not making contact with the other side of the plug. pushed it in and all good!!!!
