You said it smokes while running you could also pull the glow plugs and pull the inj fuse so the injectors won't fire and look for the injector that is still misting out the glow plug hole it's not set I stone but it's something you can look at.Otherwise I think I would pull them all and send back to Merchant to be 're checked and flowed just to be sure.

Wow I didn't think of that.

Op did you get a receipt from merchant? There should be some kind of code or numbers etched on the injectors, maybe you can call merchant and get those numbers to validate.

same here but the way he keeps describing it, sure doesnt sound like his truck was any better than it was before

The photo is a little sideways, the receipt I received from the mechanic didnt say anything about merchant injectors but I had talked to him before hand and plus I know the guy, but that doesn't mean anything. If I can figure out how to post the video of the thing smoking, you can only tell at night it's a slight haze. Ill prob have have to do what your talking about blk smoke and pull the glow plugs out and the ignition relay, I'm open to anything at this point and thanks for all the info guys.

i would suggest undoing the return rails from the injectors (one of the lines outside the valve covers) that has not tied into the return line with the CP3 yet, put a hose on it into a clear water bottle and crank the truck for 15sec. if the water bottle is more than a 1/4 full, you got a problem injector/s. do this for both banks. it wouldnt hurt to do a compression test either while you got the glow plugs out.

really seems like you have multiple issues. you have a cracked injector body or loose return or HP line thats making your oil level climb, bad injector/s that are causing the haze, and probably some high return rates causing the hard start

I'm hoping I just found the problem with my truck on the passenger side went to pull the injector lines off and the guy forgot to put the hold down back on under the ficm. And I called him and asked where he got the reman lines from because some of them looked like hell and it was a hp leak. The lines were from industrial injection.
