I've done about everything so far, new injectors from mechant auto, new cp3, also fixed one leak on the return lines done all the tests I can and I'm still making oil. Does anyone has any ideas of what I can do next? Possibly bad injectors from merchant auto:confused:

I forgot to mention that, replaced them along with the injectors. Doesn't smoke or anything on startup or while driving.

Absolutly perfectly clean where the line bolts up to the injector and everything is torqued to spec? only thing you could do is remove upper valve cover and reconnect all the lines and wiring and run with covers off and look for leaks.

That's what I'm probably going to have to do, I had someone replace the injectors a month ago and fixed a return leak myself after they had installed new injectors. I went ahead and installed a new return and torqued everything to spec on the drivers side. That's when I used the mighty vac to check for leaks and it looses 5psi over a couple hour time span.

Your right about that, there are a few ppl I know that have been pretty lucky with there's over 250k and only had to replace the relief valve. I've already come this far with my truck might as well fix it, good thing I got more than one vehicle to drive:)

Thanks for the link, the mighty vac setup is definitely a life saver, that's what I used to diagnose my truck after I had the injectors replaced:D

It's about to get ugly on that end of it  , it's always something else. He told me tonight it can't be the return lines even though I fixed his mistake once, he told me it cant be anything he did and it must be a new problem somewhere else. I would have done the injectors myself didn't have time to do them though. This time ill do everything myself that way I know it's done right. :thumb:

I just got home from work and I pulled the return going to the cp3 and capped it and put the mighty vac on the return side going to the tank and its holding 15inHG, when my truck is off after running it, it looses its prime and the return rail is bone dry I also put a new primer head on last week from a lbz. Changed the oil last night and I was two quarts over full.

I'm still clueless with the truck drained half the oil out and added fresh to it and went on a little drive, needless to say the exhaust smell is almost over bearing. At idle in the drive the truck is puffing gray/white smoke and its not getting any better wish I could figure out how to post the video. I'm leaning towards a faulty new injector

Try pulling the passenger side valve cover ( its the easiest and you dont have to draing the coolant) hook the fuel back up and electrical and start the enginge and see if you have diesel coming from 1 of the injector bodies. Are you sure your return lines are tight and not cracked? Did you use new washers under the banjo bolts? Are you missing a supply o ring? You could try vacing down each injector, what are your ballance rates?

That does kinda point to an injector bad.

When I got my truck back from the mechanic I had to fix a return on the drivers side I just went ahead and installed a new return line, banjo seals, when I was done with that side I pressure tested it with 10psi and used my vacuum gauge. Last night I pressurized my return line and pulled a vacuum and it held for over a hour. There was only one injector that was kinda worried me but the mechanic said there's no way it could be bad it's a reman from merchant auto. Injector #2s rate ranged from +3.4 to +3.8 using a insight cts.
