Fuel filter housings

What's the difference between the fuel filter housings between an 03 and a 06?

The position of the inlet and outlet. They are turned/angled differently from one another.

Is that the only difference besides the price, 03 housing-$660; 06 housing-$160!! I think I'll go with the 06 and modify my rubber fuel lines, what y'all think??

The outlet of the filter housing is facing different. Might be hard to get a line in there without having it kink, unless you loop it.

Just replace the hoses and loop the one. It'll be fine. We do it all the time at work
