nope that's not the study I was referring to.. interesting though 2 stroke falls into 7th place at a 200:1 ratio. I wonder what place it would have been in with a recommended 128:1 ratio = 1oz to a gallon. perhaps the top 4? besides look at the price it cost per tank, some of these manufactures sell garbage thats actually harmful to your motor, but yet they can get away with it.. our system at its finest.

I second that, never tried it but according to the study posted I'd say at 128:1 it would easily be top 3 or 4, but at that point it is quite a bit more expensive than opti summer blend and wouldn't have significant anti-gel to compete with XPD on price. OPTI it is :thumb:

Thanks for the info guys.

I use Stanadyne on a regular basis. But after the other day I don't think I will be using it in the winter anymore. The other day I went to fill up my truck. Pulled out my bottle of Stanadyne that I kept in the truck ( I always keep a spare bottle in the truck in case no one has it when I need it). Went to pure it in the tank and low and behold. The stuff was gelled so bad it wouldn't pour out the bottle. Wasn't frozen, it was still smooshy. But so thick it wouldn't pour. It was only 11* outside. If that's what happens to it by itself, I'm not sure if I would want it in my tank adding to the gelling point of my fuel.

is where I got mine. Ran the XPD in the fall and am running the winter blend Fuel Improver now. Hasn't gotten cold enough this year to see if it is working. Last year with the Stanadyne at 1/2 btl I gelled up at -30F.

I've never ran additives in west Texas and it gets down around 0 here in the winter. I have never had a problem gelling. I think I am going to try the Amsoil for better milage though.
