AMSoil diesel concentrate, cetane booster and cold flow improver in the winter. Diesel concentrate quiets down the injection noise quit a bit. Idles smoother and gets better milage.

2 stroke motor oil, smooths everything out, brings up the btu's and sulfer lubricity. i run it in kubota, ingersolran, adn my duramax.. I've bookmarked a graft where it shows most additives, including powerservice kleen actually don't compare to the tc3 2 stroke, they have low to no lubricity.. but again I'm no mechanical engineer. but i know it works for me, and has for others for years..

I use Diesel Plus. I have never gelled and have increased my mpg +2. The kerosene will lower the already low amount of lubrication in the fuel. The Diesel Plus will lube the fuel system and has the antigel. Great stuff!!

Or even the newest stuff for getting going after gelling;

AMSOIL Diesel Recovery (DRC) is an emergency diesel fuel treatment that dissolves the wax crystals that form when diesel fuel has surpassed its cloud point. Diesel Recovery liquefies gelled diesel fuel and thaws frozen fuel filters, avoiding costly towing charges and getting diesels back on the road.

nope that's not the study I was referring to.. interesting though 2 stroke falls into 7th place at a 200:1 ratio. I wonder what place it would have been in with a recommended 128:1 ratio = 1oz to a gallon. perhaps the top 4? besides look at the price it cost per tank, some of these manufactures sell garbage thats actually harmful to your motor, but yet they can get away with it.. our system at its finest.

I've been using Howes power kleaner since the truck was new. I thought it was 7th on the list, now its 11???

I used to run without additives, I gelled at about -30C (-20F). I have been using Stanadyne ever since. Since then my truck has seen -46C (-50F) and didn't gel with the additive.

Hmm...interesting definitely. From what I've read you guys in Canada have really low temps. and I've read where several people just run the diesel straight out of the pumps and haven't ever gelled. :) Coldest I've had mine to date w/o additional additves is around 4*.
