Care to elaborate on hitch set up? Not trying to be a d/b just wondering. Anything to help on his truck would be awesome. It's a cab and chassis truck, lifts the front hard. Like pulls left front tire with 1000 lbs hanging off the front and torsion bolts out.

We r thinking about shackling the rear to help..

Thanks in advance

does the truck have a ton of rake?

How is yours setup vs. cummins killer? From the pictures I've seen of both trucks it looks like you both are coil overs

I'm pretty certain there's doesn't have coil overs on the chassis they've ran the last 2 years. It looks almost factory to me. Mine is dual coil overs with a cognito upper arm and Hsp made the lower.

Not necessarily. Lots of succesful gas pullers run alot of rake. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9KYKQFKnmQ

The guy in that video is a multi-time rwyb champion with full pull productions which is a very competitive organization.

I used to run my truck ass in the air and it wouldn't hook worth a crap I dropped the rear way down and picked the front up almost have it when its sitting still looking like its going down the track

Not to insult you in any way, but some people can make one setup work and some cant. So you switch it and try something else and see if that works. I just posted that info so that clrussel wasnt instantly thinking oh crap we gotta change this rake b.s. asap because nobody has ever ran a truck like this and won.

Yea you are right, I must have been thinking about a different truck.

The way the hitch is mounted to the frame will dictate if the rake will work or not. So depending on how the complete package is setup, frame-suspension-hitch, it will change how well it works.

And remember, 2.6 trucks have four tires in the back, use them.

I think for the way this truck is set up we need to lower the rear.. It's worth a shot anyways..

Make sure the hook point is as far forward as rules allow to take out any possibility of the pivot length being longer than a short bed. If the rules say that it has to be the rear most part of the truck you are screwed. Short bed trucks are shorter behind the rear axle.

Rich, sorry for messing up your thread. Pull the torsion bars and all the components to lose the weight then mount some coil overs in there. I would suggest to adjust the front suspension stops on the different tracks.
