Guys,

I know my hubs are okay but the front steering is somewhat loose on my LBZ. It has about 90k miles, just got lifted not too long ago. What would give you play in the steering wheel?

I have a pitman, idler, and steering stabilizer to put on; but will that fix it?

There are so many things that can be worn out. Go through and check your tie rod ends as well if they are good get everything else you have installed and check the slop in your steering box.

There is alot that can give you play, pitman and idler is a good place to start, check inner and outer tie rod ends as well.

Thanks, I appreciate it but Im a couple hundred miles from Phoenix. Ill start with the pitman, idler, and dampner; but it may be tierod ends as well. Ive jacked it up and played with it but nothing definitive really. Thanks for the help

Best way to check it, have someone turn the steering wheel back and forth, just venough to take the play out. Then watch the steering-- some parts will move, and others will not. That will point to the worn parts.

Yes the white truck, and I did relax the torsion (it has stock keys) but I am running an rcd lift with 37's so I have to keep some tension on it. The truck is 2wd (rare i know) and the lift didnt cause any of this. Im going to check the alignment and get the pitman and idler on tomorrow. We'll see if that helps
