GUYS,

I need help on my front tires toeing in during a boosted truck launch( sled pull), I generally bring my boost up to about 7-10lbs pending track conditions. I automatically get the toe in problem with both tires. Sometimes it's not consistant on which side does it the worst. Or maybe 1 side does it and the other side doesn't

I presently have CIU offroad center link, and sleeves, I also have the Co braces on the front, along with Rancho 9000's. I drop my front end 100% until the bolts on the torsions are all but ready to fall out. I have noticed that my driver side sits about 3/4" lower then the passenger side. My drive axles are 99% level. My stock keys was replaced with a OFU lift key after I bought the truck ( 2-3" lift), I didn't like them so we put the stock keys back in. Anyway the torsion bars could differ from one to the other, or there only one way for these things to go back in?

I run the SS TRXUS STS 33-12:50-17's on the H2 wheel.

Any ideas?

If the front end raises enough it will still tow in, what are you doing for weight? what is the truck Crew cab reg cab, long bed short bed? You have all the right parts but id have to say your just pulling the front end up to high?

My truck is a extended cab short bed, I run in the street class; so I'm not allowed to run weights. However I do have a aftermarket bumper Ranchhand roughly 280lbs on the front end. If I bump up 1 class street hot class I can run weights, but I'm also competing against twin turbo trucks etc.

do you run weights in the bed at all, even when we dont hang weight its in the bed as far forward as you can get it!

Where abouts is Blairs Mills?

Yes I put weights in the bed, I also put about 100lbs in the cab. I try to weigh in right around 7900lb when I check in. I was thinking that maybe it was something to do with the torsion bars being taken out and then back in. Maybe 1 side was not correct vs the other side. Why do I have 3/4 difference from one side to the other. Both tires have the same air pressure as well 22lbs. of air.

try to stiffin up the rear some more, my truck hardly picks up the front end, i run caltracs, spring clamps, blocks, and i have a 2" lift block in the rear and it seems to keep the front end from comin up too much.

I have the spring clamps I put on before the pulls, I don't have the 2" blocks. I will try this. I discovered today that my driver side front wheel was pretty loose ( back and forth play) So I went and bought 2 new wheel hub assembly's. Not saying this is my problem, but maybe it will help my problem some. Are you going to the Buck next weekend?

Talk 2 you soon.

On the torsion bolt, all trucks vary from side to side. One of mine was turned slightly more than the other and it came from the factory like that. Someone on here said the reasoning on it, I just cant remember what, but they do come from the factory with one side turned more than the other. Hope this helps

From the factory they are never perfect but if you remove the bolts they should be the same. Wy yours aren't I have no idea.

To help keep the front end down block the rear solid if allowed.

With stock keys your CVs should actually point up.

Also keep in mind that STSs really hook up and take a lot of power. so they could be pulling your from in as well.

This whol front end thing is a mystery.

When I had my sleeves and link in, and t bars bottomed out I stillhad toe in. When my sleeves were removed I had no toe in. why were they removed?? Well my te rods were wore out and MOOG ones are a few millimeters thicker than stock so my CIUD sleeves didnt fit and I had to send them back to be machined out.

I dont knwo what else to say except block the rear.

I also know when I ran my front pressure too low I would get toe in.

I ran my BFGs at 28psi towards the end of the season and it worked great. But BFGs are easier to set up than STSs.

Also with a stock charger you shouldnt need to build boost on the line. But maybe your tracks are a lot different than ours.

And one last note. On the line dont watch boost, watch EGT. You want to build heat not boost. Any puller will tell you this. Heat spools the turbo, boost is along for the ride.
