I got a friend that is picking up a 04 24v dodge. He was asking me what the most powerful tuner for it would be. I told him i don't know but will ask around.
Dose anyone make soft ware similar to efi ?

An 04 would make it a Common Rail:D Smarty is the only way to go

Not discourage him but the TC give up pretty quick when you pump up the juice. My friends dumped right quick with a Hot Edge box. From what I've heard the Smarty and Edge box combined really works well on them.

the truck is a manual with a beefed up clutch apparently. so hopefully he wont have problems right off the bat.

Thanks Ill definitely pass your name along. 1 question though what is with the horse power settings, they give you two settings for the same hp one with timing and one without? just to determine when it comes on?

Not sure why they do it only reason I see is for someone running NOS and you want your timing lower.

I also see the PPE tuner having more power to the rear tires even after removing 20% for drivetrain power loss.

i have a few friends that have ran a smarty and ppe both. they say the smarty runs better but gets hot. and the ppe runs good but doesnt really have the heat problem like the smarty. i just did a smarty with a mp-8 on my buddys 6.7 and it runs its ass off. that to me is prolly the best combo on a CR.

Smarty and MP-8 stack will make some good power on the common rail. He will probably want to consider fuel mods and injectors with that stack too.

IIRC, the option for no timing is for stacking with something else that adjusts the timing. That way, both devices add fuel, but only one adds timing, which is safer.
