Mike, here are a few pic's Ron sent me. He said it was definetly bad:eek:. Looks like some of the fins are trashed, but I don't know what im look'n for other then that;).

I see this from time to time when the converter was held a little too long on the line under boost. Of course there could have been a defective fin that let loose also. make sure you change your sump filter and spin on. Doubt if there is anything wrong in the Alli.

Thanks Mike! Im sure thats what it is, because I usually build boost and wait for the other guy to stage. Looks like im changing my game plan @ the tree.

That was what was going to my mind at Sac. I was lined up with a 18 sec truck :eek:

In the end my RT suffered but I wasn't willing to fry my converter.

Others are asking what it felt like, so ---> Symptoms = 4K rpm brake boost, without even stressing the brakes, 500-600rpm Defuel between shifts (yes defuel, not slip). The only time it felt normal was once it was in lockup.

Speaking of that, whats a good way to self test the converter? I know I have slipped mine at the line a few times pretty good. Converter still feels good but I always wondered how much it can take.
